ZingMate Terms of Service
ZingMate is not a dating app.
ZingMate is a social platform for finding friends who share your interests. AI ZingMate analyzes your interests and hobbies to recommend friends with similar interests.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the terms and conditions, procedures, and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users regarding the use of ZingMate services (hereinafter "the Service") provided by ZingMate Inc. (hereinafter "the Company").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service": The ZingMate mobile application and related services provided by the Company (an interest-based social platform for finding friends)
- "User": A person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service
- "Member": A person who has entered into a service agreement with the Company and has been assigned a member ID
- "ZingMate AI": An AI-based conversation service provided by the Company that analyzes users' interests to recommend friends and serves as a 24/7 conversation partner
- "ZingPoints": Virtual currency used within the Service
- "ZingSocial": Interest-based friend recommendation service
- "Onboarding Information": Information such as interests, hobbies, and lifestyle entered during registration, accessible only to AI ZingMate
- "Public Profile": Information that users choose to disclose to other users
Article 3 (Posting and Modification of Terms)
- The Company posts these Terms on the initial screen of the Service or in the settings menu.
- Changes to the Terms will be announced in-app at least 7 days before the effective date.
- For changes disadvantageous to users, 30 days' prior notice and individual notification will be provided.
Article 4 (Service Agreement)
The service agreement is established when the user agrees to these Terms and the Company accepts the application. Registration is available through social login (Google, Apple).
Grounds for rejection: Use of false identity, use of another person's information, false information, under 18 years of age, previously disqualified users
Article 5 (User Eligibility)
Age Restriction: ZingMate services are available only to users aged 18 or older.
Article 6 (Service Content)
Core purpose of the Service: ZingMate is a social platform that helps you find friends who share your interests. It is not a dating service, and it supports the formation of healthy friendships.

6.1 Role of AI ZingMate
AI ZingMate's Data Processing Principles:
- Interests, hobbies, and lifestyle information entered during onboarding are known only to AI ZingMate.
- AI ZingMate finds only common interests among members to recommend friends.
- Individual members' onboarding information is never disclosed to other members.
- Only information that members have set to public on their profile page is visible to other members.
6.2 Location Service
Location permission is required.
Location information is needed for the nearby friend discovery feature. Without location permission, the core features of the service cannot be used.
6.3 Notification Service
We recommend enabling notifications.
ZingMate is a social service where communication is key. Please enable notifications so you don't miss messages from friends or new friend recommendations.
Article 7 (ZingPoints)
Points Policy: 1 ZingPoint = 1 KRW

Withdrawal of Subscription
- Withdrawal is possible within 7 days of payment
- Already used points are excluded from refund
- Refund request: mark66757095@gmail.com
- Processing time: 3-5 business days
Article 9 (User Obligations)
Prohibited Activities
- Using another person's information
- Registering false information
- Defaming, insulting, or threatening others
- Posting obscene or illegal content
- Posting commercial advertisements
- Disrupting service operations
- Hacking, distributing viruses, or other system intrusions
- Collecting, storing, or distributing others' personal information
- Actions for criminal purposes
- Pursuing inappropriate encounters contrary to the service's purpose (finding friends)
Profile Guidelines
- Only upload your own photos
- No excessively revealing photos
- No violent or hateful content
- No false information
Article 10 (Company Obligations)
- The Company shall do its best to provide stable services.
- The Company shall protect users' personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- The Company shall promptly address user complaints and grievances.
- The Company shall not disclose onboarding information to any third party other than AI ZingMate.
Article 11 (Service Modification and Suspension)
The Company may temporarily suspend the service in cases such as system maintenance, natural disasters, or national emergencies. In the event of paid service suspension, compensation will be provided through service period extension or refund.
Article 12 (Termination of Service Agreement)
Account Deletion
Members may request account deletion at any time via Settings > Account Management > Delete Account. Upon deletion, personal information will be immediately destroyed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Usage Restrictions
Usage may be restricted for violations of the Terms, infringement of others' rights, disruption of service operations, or violation of laws.
Article 13 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- Copyright of the service and related content belongs to the Company.
- Copyright of content posted by users belongs to the users.
- Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of service content is prohibited.
Article 14 (AI Services)
14.1 Scope of AI Services
The Company provides the following AI-based services:
- AI ZingMate Chat: Text and voice-based 1:1 AI conversation service (powered by Google Gemini AI)
- AI Profile Image Generation: AI-generated character images (powered by Replicate FLUX.1)
- AI Chat Room Host: AI moderator for live chat rooms
- AI-based Friend Recommendations: Friend matching through interest analysis
14.2 AI Data Non-Training Policy
User data is NOT used for AI model training.
- Conversations between users and AI are used solely to improve the individual user's service experience.
- Conversation data is not provided to external AI providers for model training purposes.
- Voice data is immediately deleted from external servers upon session termination.
14.3 Limitations of AI Responses
- AI responses are for reference purposes only and do not replace professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
- The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI responses.
- The Company is not responsible for user decisions based on information provided by AI.
- AI services may generate inaccurate or inappropriate responses due to technical limitations; the Company will promptly take corrective measures in such cases.
14.4 AI Service Usage Conditions
- AI voice chat services require ZingPoints consumption.
- AI service content and quality may change as technology evolves.
- Services may be temporarily interrupted due to circumstances of external AI service providers.
Article 15 (Disclaimers)
- The Company is not liable for service interruptions due to force majeure, such as natural disasters.
- The Company acts only as an intermediary in disputes between users.
- AI ZingMate responses are for reference only and do not substitute professional advice.
- The Company does not guarantee the success of friend recommendations.
- The Company is not responsible for issues arising from actual meetings between users.
Article 16 (Damages)
- The Company shall compensate for damages caused by its intentional or negligent actions.
- The Company's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the preceding 12 months.
Article 17 (Dispute Resolution)
- Governing Law: Laws of the Republic of Korea
- Jurisdiction: Court with jurisdiction over the Company's headquarters
- Disputes shall first be resolved through mutual consultation. If necessary, mediation may be sought from the Korea Internet & Security Agency or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee.
